About us: Shaping digital education together
About CodeRoom
Digital education needs tools that actually work in the classroom.
CodeRoom was created from practice: from programming courses, software development, training experience, and the demand to make computer science lessons easier, clearer, and more motivating.
A course project turned into a platform for schools.
The story of CodeRoom began in 2013 in Buchholz in the Nordheide. What started as an honorary project by Christian-Robert Schulz developed step by step into a learning platform that supports schools in building digital competences.
Christian-Robert Schulz brings more than 20 years of experience as an independent software developer. He implemented company-critical software solutions for medium-sized businesses and corporations in areas such as automotive, air traffic, and e-commerce. As a trainer for IT specialists in the field of application development, he also knows practical programming education firsthand.
Emmerich Ronald Schulz supplemented the project with his knowledge from software and UI design as well as his long-standing experience in IT support for different age groups. Together, they created a solution that combines technical strength with user-friendly operation.
The brothers Christian-Robert Schulz and Emmerich Ronald Schulz develop CodeRoom with a view to practice, understandability, and school reality. Why we engage
We want to provide schools with more than just another software. CodeRoom is meant to relieve teachers, activate learners, and make programming a tangible creative tool.
Coding is future competence
Programming helps young people structure problems, implement ideas, and better understand digital systems.
Teachers need clarity
Good tools save time, provide an overview, and work even when the lesson becomes lively.
Schools deserve enthusiasm
A learning platform should not only be technically correct but also make learners want to try out, understand, and shape things.
From practice for practice
The first prototype was used in the framework of the programming course “TastengewITter” in the future workshop Buchholz. More than 30 participants worked with the environment, accompanied by voluntary didactic supporters.
This experience shapes CodeRoom to this day: The platform is not developed for abstract ideal conditions but for real lessons with different learning levels, limited time, and the desire for visible progress.
Our goal is a learning environment that schools can safely use, does not burden teachers additionally, and invites students to become active themselves.
We want to contribute to making digital education less complicated but more accessible. Together with schools, we design computer science lessons that give courage to try out, strengthen future competences, and make a difference.
