Our new AI-Code Evaluation is here – and it’s changing how students work with CodeRoom in class: From now on, all programming results can be automatically checked by an AI for the fulfillment of the task assignment.

The AI recognizes:

• whether the task assignment is fully, partially, or not fulfilled,
• which aspects are missing or could be improved,
• and provides targeted assistance without pre-empting the solution.

This feature is available immediately after running the code and complements the already integrated AI help with errors in the code.

Why is this a game-changer?

Teachers no longer need to manually review student results - the AI takes care of that. That’s why CodeRoom becomes the first learning environment that can automatically assess the quality of solutions in the context of task assignments.

In comparison to other programming environments, CodeRoom offers:

• Feedback on task solution, not just syntax
• Motivation for improvement through partial success feedback
• Complete autonomy for students - without teacher intervention

And that’s how it works

After running the code, the student clicks on “Check solution”. The AI analyzes not only the code but also the console output and compares it with the task description. Then a structured feedback is displayed:
