  1. Data Controller
    The managing director of the programmierschule.de EinfachLernen GmbH, Christian-Robert Schulz, Salzstr. 1, 21335 Lüneburg, is responsible for processing your personal data. We have not appointed a data protection officer in accordance with Article 37 of the DSGVO, as the requirements are not met. For data protection inquiries, please contact Christian-Robert Schulz. In the event that the offer is used in school, we process your data as a commissioned processor. The responsible entity in this case is your school or the school authority.

  2. Collection of Personal Data

    • CodeRoom:
      When registering schools, we collect mandatory information: Name of the institution, E-mail address, website URL, street address, postal code, city, country, and details for the admin account (title, first name, last name, e-mail, username). For students, we optionally collect: title, first name, last name, group, email, and username. Email addresses are primarily used for password recovery.
      All users can query their associated data at any time. To do this, we offer under “Account / Your Data” a function to generate a data export.
    • programmierschule.de:
      For customers, we collect information necessary to issue invoices and enable access to our services. This includes name, contact details, and payment information. For users without a purchase history, we store the data for up to 6 years unless deletion is desired.
  3. Purpose of Data Collection
    The data is used to provide personalized access to our courses for teachers, students, and customers, as well as support communication and administrative processes. System accesses with user assignment and IP address are stored for a maximum of 7 days and used exclusively for system analysis.

  4. Legal Basis of Data Processing
    Data processing is based on the consent of the affected individuals or the fulfillment of a contract. For minors, consent is obtained from parents or legal guardians.
    You have the right to revoke any given consent at any time with effect for the future. Revocation can be done by an informal email to datenschutz@programmierschule.de. The legality of processing up to revocation remains unaffected.

  5. Data Protection and Deletion Periods

    • Student and teacher data is stored only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of our educational mandate or required by law. After contract termination, all personal data not subject to statutory retention requirements will be automatically deleted after one year.
    • Institutional data will be deleted one year after expiration of the last usage contract.
    • Customer information under programmierschule.de is stored according to the statutory requirements for invoice retention for 10 years.
  6. Data Transfer

    • No data transfer to third parties takes place. It is also ensured that no data transmissions occur outside of the EU.
    • After registration, we provide all institutions with a contract for processing in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO immediately.
  7. Data in Local Browser Storage
    To improve the application experience, we store certain data in the local browser storage. This includes categorized content pages, course series, lesson units, contents, learning tasks, user codes, user settings, mind maps, roles, and login information.
    The following collections with a maximum size of 5 MB are used:

  8. Rights of the Affected Persons Users have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or transferability of their personal data. We offer in the system under Account / My Data a function that allows users to create a data export of their personal data.
    Right to Data Transferability:
    You have the right to obtain the personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to transmit this data to another responsible party.
    On request, you can also demand that we transmit the data, if technically possible, directly to another responsible party. All inquiries about these rights can be addressed informally to datenschutz@programmierschule.de.

  9. Right to Complain

  10. Data Security
    Wir verwenden neueste Server-, Datenbank- und Verschlüsselungstechnologien nach DSGVO- und Industriestandards, basierend auf Microsoft “Windows Server” und “SQL Server” Technologien mit Hosting durch Hetzner in Deutschland. Dies garantiert eine hohe Datensicherheit und Verfügbarkeit.
